Playson · Goldmine Hold and Win
3 Carts of Gold: Hold and Win Explained Simply
Here2Win Casino's pokie library covers plenty of Hold and Win titles, and this Playson goldmine pick is one of the punchier ones. Here's what the jackpot, bonus rounds and Bonus Buy actually mean before you spend a cent.

A goldmine dressed in playing cards
The reels lean hard into a goldmine setting: cart wheels, pickaxes and lantern light sit alongside the playing-card symbols that carry the lower-paying combinations. It's a tidy pairing of themes rather than a cluttered mash-up, and it reads clearly even on a small phone screen, which matters more than it sounds once you're squinting at a Hold and Win grid mid-session.
A high-volatility pace, one line
This one is rated high volatility, meaning results swing wider than a steadier pick: quieter stretches between the bigger hits, rather than a constant trickle. If that pace doesn't suit your session, the Here2Win Casino best slots hub lines up the rest of the site's bigger-swing pokies for a proper look before you settle on one.
Jackpot, bonus rounds and the Bonus Buy option
Three confirmed features sit on top of the base game here: an in-game jackpot, bonus rounds, and a Bonus Buy option that lets you pay upfront to trigger a feature rather than waiting for it to land naturally. Buying in spends more of your session budget in one go than a standard spin, so it's worth checking the current Here2Win Casino bonuses wagering rules before using bonus funds on a Bonus Buy, especially if you're still working through a wagering requirement.
On RTP, 3 Carts of Gold: Hold and Win sits at 95.76%, a touch below the roughly 96.0% median across the pokies featured on this site. That's not a red flag on its own — RTP is a long-run average, not a session promise — but it's worth knowing going in, particularly alongside a high-volatility rating that already spreads results wider than most.

Playson's Hold and Win, compared with 3 Chillies and Joker
Playson runs the same Hold and Win format on 3 Chillies and Joker: Hold and Win, but the two pokies land at different paces. That one sits at medium volatility with a single confirmed in-game jackpot and no bonus rounds or Bonus Buy, which makes it the calmer sibling next to this cart-and-goldmine build.
| Game | Provider | RTP | Volatility | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Carts of Gold: Hold and Win | Playson | 95.76% | High | In-game jackpot, bonus rounds, bonus buy |
| 3 Chillies and Joker: Hold and Win | Playson | 95.5% | Medium | In-game jackpot |
Who tends to enjoy this one
I'd point this pokie at punters who like a Hold and Win grid but want more happening around it than a bare jackpot chase — the bonus rounds and Bonus Buy give you extra levers to pull, provided you're comfortable with a wider result spread and you've set a session budget before you start. If you'd rather ease in with a steadier structure first, the medium-paced 3 Chillies and Joker: Hold and Win is the more forgiving warm-up.
